National Chemical Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center

The Chemical Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center was founded in 1997. With the approval of the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China, the center became a national Chemical Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center in 2006.

The center has 3 level’s experimental teaching platform: Basic Chemistry Laboratory, Comprehensive Chemistry Laboratory and Innovation Laboratory. The center has 29 stuffs, including 5 professors, 14 associate professors, 10 lecturers and 15 laboratory technicians, respectively. The center undertakes the task of experimental teaching for a total of 17 courses. More than 2460 students do experiments in the center every year. The center has a total area of 5512 m2 and more than 1527 instruments.

Wang, Yaoyu

Prof. Wang’s group has five teachers and fifteen graduate students. The research interests of the group mainly focus on the functional coordination chemistry and materials chemistry. The group has started to explore a totally new field about molecular braid, synthesized the first case of novel [4]-crossing catenane coordination polymer, and found the catalyst of decarboxylation in the in situ reaction.
