Analysis and Test Research Center established in 1978, is the earliest analysis and test platform for teaching and scientific research in northwestern China. In 1987, a large number of instruments were added with the World Bank loan and made the center have a better ability for physical & chemical test. In 1999, Analysis and Test Research Center were under the supervision and administration of Chemistry Department which was renamed as the College of Chemistry and Materials Science (CCMS) in 2008. With the strong supports from the State “Project 211”, the level of facilities of the center increases gradually by purchasing a number of advanced large and medium-sized instruments. At present, the center has a total value of more than RMB 40 million. The center has 13 faculty members with 2 professors, 6 senior engineers and 4 engineers, respectively. In 2010, the center obtained the certification for inspection agency of National Accreditation Committee. The center not only serves for the teaching and scientific research, but also provides technical services for publics, and has business cooperation with airline companies and enterprise in Xi’an new and High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The center has made important contribution for the western region economy development.
