Analytical Chemistry

Analytical Chemistry Discipline grows based on the former Analytical Chemistry Teaching and Research Section of Northwest University, was founded in 1953.

Analytic Chemistry Discipline became one of the authorized disciplines to confer M.S. degree in China in 1981. In 1992, analytical chemistry was announced to be one of the first key disciplines by Education Committee of Shaanxi Province. In 1993, Analytic Chemistry Discipline was authorized to confer Ph.D. degrees.

Major research areas are: Bioelectrochemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry, Modern Spectroscopic Analysis, Modern Separation Science, Environmental and pharmaceutical analysis.

Wang, Yaoyu

Prof. Wang’s group has five teachers and fifteen graduate students. The research interests of the group mainly focus on the functional coordination chemistry and materials chemistry. The group has started to explore a totally new field about molecular braid, synthesized the first case of novel [4]-crossing catenane coordination polymer, and found the catalyst of decarboxylation in the in situ reaction.
